A famous filmmaker recalls his childhood in Sicily, when he fell in love with the pictures at his local cinema, and formed a deep friendship with the cinema's projectionist.

This beloved film shows the changes in cinema and the dying trade of traditional filmmaking and screening. It also explores a young boy's dream of leaving his small village to pursue big dreams in the outside world.

Directed by Giuseppe Tornatore, and featuring Ennio Morricone’s beautiful, iconic score.
