The Egg-straordinary Specsavers Limerick Panto, Mother Goose, comes to University Concert Hall this December.
Poor Mother Goose is struggling to get by on her meagre pension. Her two sons Gussie and Jack are pretty hopeless at earning money, but they help her on the farm looking after her geese. Mother Goose’s Fairy Godmother sees how hard things are getting and sends her a goose that lays golden eggs. This makes Mother Goose very happy and very rich. But money turns Mother Goose into a different person, and she becomes distracted by the evil Vinnie Tee as she goes off seeking a magic elixir to bring her youth and beauty. However, Vinnie Tee is just trying to steal Priscilla, the golden goose for himself.
With a gaggle of stars, this one is going to quack up the whole family! Mother Goose will see Panto favourites, including Richie Hayes & Myles Breen, along with some fun new faces, like actor and comedian Faye Shortt, come together for a show packed with comedy, music, glitz and glamour.
This is a family Panto, with some loud bangs, flashing and strobe lights, and theatrical fog and haze effects, along with a few scary moments, a bit of panto innuendo (never intended to offend) – and some very silly jokes!
